A Word In Due Season

Did you know that one word, spoken in due season could change your life? I don't necessarily mean one word literally, but one phrase, one sentence or one thought. You see, when you are open to it, actively seeking it, that one word can be the catalyst that moves you from where you are to where you want to go. For me, that word came from my mentor Wayne Dyer. Wayne said, "our lives are the sum total of the choices we have made." That one word, delivered in due season, changed my life. So here's my question for you, are you in "due season"? Are you ready for, desiring or actively seeking change? Are you open to receive all that life has for you? Then perhaps it is time to go get your one word.

Desire

What is the thing that keeps you awake at night? Desire! It is the driving force that refuses to let go.  The thing that refuses to let you settle for the status quo. Granted, everyone's desire is not the same, but whatever it is for you, know this, as you work towards preparing yourself, improving yourself, taking care of yourself, the thing you desire will manifest. God's word says  "delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." He will give you, not that you can go get, not that you can go find. The entire verse says this: Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Desires, it says. Not just one of them. And yes, I know there are many.

Is There Enough?

I wrote this post over a year ago, and it is still relevant.

Destiny asked me a question, Gigi, Is There Enough?
This is the question that was asked of me and this is the question I ask you.  Is there enough?  You're probably asking the same question that I asked, "enough of what?" And to that Destiny answered, "whatever it is that you want, need and desire"
So, ask yourself, right here, right now What do I want, need and desire? Once you have your answer to that question, go back and answer the first question. Is there enough? While you ponder your answers, I will share mine. What I want, need and desire is
  • my college degree,
  • my successful Life coaching practice,
  • my husband,
  • my financial prosperity,
  • my best life.
Notice I said my, my, my, my, my, I sound like Johnny Gill, I think there were five mys in there. The reason I said my, even though these things have not yet manifested in the natural, is because I believe these things already exist in the spiritual realm. They are waiting to be claimed and I speak those things that be not, as if they were. My answer to the original question, Is there enough? A resounding YES!

Surely there are:
  • enough college degrees to be had, there are schools in every community, city, country, online and off.
  • There is so much unhappiness and dissatisfaction in our world, so many hurting and confused, surely there is  room enough for another successful coaching practice.
  •  Enough room in my heart and my life for a husband? My heart is full of love and I am waiting for the one He created for me.
  • Financial prosperity, more than enough for He said "give and it shall be given, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto my bosom"
  • Last, but not least, my best life, Is this not it, walking with my savior, towards my destiny? Another resounding Yes!
The last question Destiny had for me and for you?

If there are enough of the things you want, need and desire, Why then, don't you have them? Our destinies demands to know.

What Happens To You Also Happens For You!

The title of this post came from Oprah Winfrey during an interview. When she said it, the truth of it tore through me like a lightening bolt. When I began to think about all of the things that happened to me, I realize that they also happened for me! For to make me a better me. For to develop me, for to mature me and for to deliver me from me. Then I remembered, there is nothing new under the sun.
Scripture records the same thought, Romans 8:28(KJV) and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. That would be me!!

So, how about you? Do you know that everything that has happened to you, has also happened for you? Or better yet, are you one of them who are called according to His purpose? If you are not there yet, just know that you can know and you can be. The decision, or better yet the choice is yours. Make a conscious choice today! Www.consciouschoicecoaching.com

The Eagle's Flight

Yesterday while sitting on the patio at work, I looked up and saw a huge eagle soaring through the sky. I say soaring, but he was actually gliding. It was a beautiful sight! He was extremely high and had his wings fully extended. It seemed that his wing span was a mile wide. As I watched him glide on the wind, it occurred to me that he was not flapping his wings! He was not actually doing anything other than allowing the wind move him through the sky.

While watching this, God gave me a revelation, in order for the eagle to reach the altitude which allowed him to soar on the wind, he must have had to work pretty hard to get up that high. Yes, there had to have been quite a bit of flapping going on as he took off headed to the sky. But, because he had put in the work on the front end, or should I say low end, he was able to glide effortlessly among the clouds!! Yes, he was designed for soaring, built to fly! But he still had to flap!!

So what about you, are you ready to mount up on wings as eagles? Are you putting in the work in order that you might soar? Look up, There is room enough to soar for everyone! You just have to be willing to put in the work.

On Being and Doing

In order to justify not doing what I needed to do to move forward, I used to say "God created human beings and not human doings!" Somehow, I convinced myself that all I had to do was just "be" what he created me to be.  The problem with that line of thinking was that unless I got busy about doing, the vision that God had given me, the one he told me to make plain and write it upon tables (my vision board), would perish! I received a stark reminder this morning, Faith without works is dead. I think it is time to "be doing" what God gave me to do. And in doing, I will become!

In Quiet Rest

As I rise this morning of a new day, thank you for the light. Place in my heart the joy of now. Place in my spirit the joy of being. Place me in quiet rest.  As I open my heart, as I open my eyes, as I hear your voice, open in me the well spring of life.  Thank you for this day, bless this day, these hands, this heart. Open my hands to serve and to receive.

I pray this for me, I pray this for you!

One Word

Can you describe yourself with one word? When I say, yourself, I don't mean the surface you, the one out front that everyone sees. I'm talking about the true "you", the one that you keep pressed down, held back and locked away. Stop for one minute, take a deep breath and ask your true self  to step forward. Now, what is the one word you would use to describe the real you? Takes a bit of thought doesn't it?

My one word is amazing! I chose that word because when I  look at me, the real me, I can clearly see that amazing is stamped into my DNA. God designed me this way and I make no apologies for it! What a revelation! Now that I know my word I can go be

AMAZING!!!

So I ask you again, what is your one word?

Look Deeper

When your spirits are low, take ten minutes and stand in front of the mirror. Look beyond your face and into your own eyes. What do you see? Are you comforted by the reflection or are you grieved? Sometimes, the mirror reflects what we think, most often times, it reflects how we feel. Most of us don't look at our reflections long enough to see the beauty that lies within. We see imperfections and either turn away or immediately begin to criticize ourselves. This process of turning away or criticizing robs us of the opportunity to see what's really there, the beauty of you!
However, if you look past the imperfections and past the bad hair day hair, past the blemishes and the scars, if you look into your own eyes long enough you will begin to see the beauty that we were all created with, the beauty of your spirit! I hear you, "Ha, what beauty?" But it is there, don't turn away, just keep looking! Eventually, if you look long enough and deep enough, it will appear. At first, you may see just a glimmer, or just a flash, but then, as if by magic, your beauty will appear. It will smile back at you and say "you are beautiful and quite enough, exactly the way you are".
Get in tune with your spirit. It knows the real you! Look deeper and get acquainted with the real you. Not the one that you were told that you needed to be, but the one that you were created to be! The truth is, the same one who created you, created the sun, the moon and the stars. He made the flowers too, would He not make you beautiful? Your true beauty is who you are, not what you look like and it starts on the inside and radiates to the outside. In order for others to see it, you must first recognize it and give it permission to reveal itself to the world! Don't be afraid, look deeper!
One other thing, true beauty, when it radiates from the inside, projects that beauty onto everything it comes in contact with. It has the ability to change hearts, minds, intentionsand soothe the savage beast. Look deeper, it is there, in you and waiting to be revealed. Look deeper and you will see, you are beautiful and quite enough, just the way you are!

The Power of Choice

In he biblical account of the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden,  the bible records the God breathed into the nostrils of Adam and he became a living creature. I believe that when God breathed the breath of life into Adam, he also breathed in the ability to choose.. God gave Adam life, but also gave him free will. We know from the story that Adam and Eve were faced with a choice in the garden, the choice to obey God's command to not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or to walk in disobedience and we know the negative outcome of the choice that they made, Adam and Eve were forced to leave their beautiful garden.

Adam and Eve had to face the negative impact of the choice that they and we have all, at times, suffered the consequences of making the wrong choice.  Dr. Wayne Dyer said "our lives are the sum total of our choices". But, there is good news! If you are not happy with your life, that is, even though you have made choices that may have negatively impacted your life, the power of choice is alive and well! And guess what? You can always choose again!

This is some more of the world according to Gigi! I have an opinion about everything! I would love to hears yours! Comment here or on www.Facebook.com/ThepowerofEve.
